“The Complete Ouija Interviews is distinguished by its elegant sepia-toned art and meaningful content. … Like in Peanuts, the characters manage to display a remarkable range of expressions and emotions with very few drawn lines. The minimalist ghosts, using slight head tilts and subtle eye and mouth shifts, are far more expressive than the fully rendered superhero figures found in big-name comic books.
If you’re looking for a comic that will truly touch your heart, then passing over The Complete Ouija Interviews would be a grave mistake, since reading it is sure to lift your spirits.”

“this story brought emotions of sadness, anger, and delight as this innocent little girl spoke to the interviewers. After that, I just had to own the book.”
I GOT THE XERIC I GOT THE XERIC I GOT THE XERIC
The book is being printed now and should be shipped out within a week or so. It’s going to be a lovely little collection of the Ouija Interviews, with lots of new material too. It’s wondrous and terrifying all at once.
Let’s see. In other comics-related news: You can now get our comics at Edgewater’s Third Coast Comics. If you are not following them on Twitter you should be. I’ll also be there (prolly with Corinne Mucha) for Free Comic Book Day, May 1st!
Wait there were more comicksy things to say too. OH yes, I am on a panel at the brand new Comic Symposium of Chicago, THURSDAY, March 11th, 2010 4:30pm-5:30pm. We’ll be talking about distro and self-publication. I might even say one or two things that are clever, so it’s probably worth checking out.
I was actually going to take a year off of doing conventions. And then a thing happened, which I will announce in a week or two, so now we’re doing conventions after all. By the time I made this decision, it was too late for TCAF and MoCCA, sorry kids. So the list right now: this year we will be doing Stumptown, Chicago Wizard World, Windy City con, SPX and APE.
I’ve always kind of wanted to do SPACE as well, but it’s the exact same weekend as Stumptown… and Stumptown is in Portland, which is just such a nice town, with good food, good microbrews, friendly people, and really just the best ever strip clubs. Can you compete with that, Columbus, Ohio?

Here’s a Christmas present I made for my boyfriend’s dad, from a true story that happened the last time his family was in Chicago. Enjoy!
