Just got back from the nexus of the universe

Shortpants and the Shortpants boyfriend just got back from an outrageous weekend in NYC. Truly outrageous. Truly, truly, truly outrageous. So we haven't much energy, but wanted to let you know that the Ouija Interviews got a very nice review from our friends over at Playback STL!

Also, Shortpants bought some very nice minis whilst in Brooklyn, and there are some writeups of those coming down the wire. Huzzah!

UPDATE: An Army of Lovers will be Beaten is now for sale at Chicago Comics and Quimby's. Quimby's says this: "A surreal tale of a young soldier who befriends a llama on the battle-field. Or something like that. Simple, charming black and white drawings occasionally explode into brilliant painted color. This is very cool stuff- hopefully we’ll see book two soon."

Reviews and more reviews

Here is what Tom Spurgeon said about Shortpants Press:
"This is the latest from the Short Pants Press group in Chicago, one of the half-dozen most reliable sources for quality mini-comics going right now."

Here is what he said about Bernie McGovern:
"McGovern obviously brings a significant amount of artist talent to the table; and there are snatches of beautifully drawn sequences, particularly those accompanied by painted color."

And here is what Jason had to say about Pirates of the Caribbean III:
"It pretty much blew. Avoid at all costs. Even Drew kinda bashed it and he's the biggest pirate-fag around."
